Studio and location portraits of Muhammad Muwakil and Lou Lyons, co-founders of Freetown Collective, shot at The Burg Vintage Shop. Muwakil brings the words, Lyons brings the strum. Together since 2010, they built a collective named after the historic Freetown area of Trinidad (now Belmont), where those who reached it were considered free before emancipation. These images capture the partnership at the centre of the movement.
